Whenever a truck accident occurs, the consequences can be devastating. Not only do people often lose their lives or suffer serious injuries in these wrecks, but a multitude of other problems may arise. In New London, Connecticut, and on roads across the country, accidents involving a large truck can result in lost wages, financial issues due to medical costs and even lifelong mental trauma, to name a few. Sadly, large truck accidents frequently have upsetting outcomes for a number of reasons, such as trucker fatigue and the size of trucks. Due to these risks, it is very important for truck drivers and everyone else on the road to do everything in their ability to prevent a crash.
A large truck collision that recently took place in Minnesota is being investigated by authorities. The accident involved a semi that was pulling an empty tanker and a truck. According to the fire department, the crash did not injure the large truck driver, while the collision left the driver of the truck with injuries that required hospitalization.
Although the injured driver was transported to the hospital, they did not sustain injuries that were life-threatening. Emergency crews responded to the collision, which occurred on an I-35 off ramp, at roughly 6:30 a.m.
Recovering from a truck collision can be tough, but victims who immediately review their situation and address the accident could obtain a more favorable long-term outcome. For many, discussing what they have been through with a knowledgeable attorney is an excellent way to understand any options on the table.
