Dog bite injuries

Some pet owners in Connecticut might not be cognizant of the fact that, each year, some 4.5 million people suffer dog-bite injuries, with approximately 885,000 of them requiring medical care. Moreover, some owners might not be aware that if a person is injured by a dog bite, the animal's owner may be held liable for the incident.

Excessive trucker fatigue may lead to accidents

Connecticut truck drivers know that fatigue is a significant problem. In a survey, 86 percent of Americans polled believe increasing the time truckers are on the road is counterproductive, and 68 percent would be willing to spend more money for goods rather than see this happen.

Majority of doctors still not fully reporting when errors occur

Everybody makes mistakes, but when it comes to medical professionals, these mistakes can prove injurious to their patients. When Connecticut patients do fall victim to medical errors, though, there is a good chance that they may never know about it. Doctors have often avoided disclosing mistakes to their patients out of fear of being sued for medical malpractice. This behavior seems to be diminishing, but recent studies show that there's still a long way to go before full disclosure of medical errors are the norm.
